Answer

About 450 million USD

In 1958 the same painting, then believed to be a copy, had changed hands in London for just 45 pounds.

How to estimate it

An auction price cannot be calculated, only bracketed. Before 2017 the auction record was about 180 million dollars, for a Picasso, and the largest private sales were rumoured at around 300 million. A rediscovered Leonardo, with fewer than 20 paintings in existence, could plausibly double the old record: 300 to 400 million. The hammer fell at about 450 million US dollars, fees included.
