What is Magnitudle?
A free daily estimation game. You answer one real-world question with a single number and are scored on how many orders of magnitude you were off.
How is the score calculated?
The game takes the difference between the base 10 logarithm of your guess and that of the answer. A difference under 0.05 scores 100, and the score decreases linearly to 0 at a difference of 5.
When does a new question appear?
At midnight in your local time zone.
I missed a day. Can I still play that question?
Yes, in the archive. Archive games are scored but do not count toward your streak.
Where is my progress saved?
In the local storage of your browser. Nothing is sent to a server, which also means your progress does not follow you to another device.
How does Survival Mode work?
You start with 10 life and get 15 seconds per question. Each answer costs as much life as the orders of magnitude you missed by. The run ends at 0 life.
How does Size It Up work?
You resize a silhouette to match its real size next to a reference whose size is given. A game has five rounds worth 100 points each.
Where do the answers come from?
Each question cites its source on the result screen, such as international agencies, official statistics or published research. Figures that change over time are rounded accordingly.
I found a mistake in a question. How do I report it?
Use the contact page and mention the date of the question. Corrections are welcome.

English, French, Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese. Use the language selector at the top of the page.
